About Our Crew
Our crew comes from various backgrounds with the airplanes bringing them together as one.
John Cornett is number two in charge. He coordinates all aspects of our Flying Service. He recently obtained his commercial pilots license, and will soon be ready to assist me with Flying Duties. I met John while flying into Georgetown, Kentucky. I made a normal landing there and taxied to the terminal when suddenly a salty man came up to me with fire in his eyes. He had been checking the approach lights and said that I almost ran over him with my airplane. When he realized I was a girl he was less angry. It has been about four years since then and he still reminds me of how we met.
Sam Garrett is an Aeronca Champ and Boeing Stearman Pilot. Sam and I met when I brought my first airplane home. He has always been a great second hand, and part-time pilot. Sam is from Gallatin, Tennessee and keeps us flying here at the home front!
Sherri Blake is my General Manager. She is responsible for scheduling, correspondence as well as customer service. She has a military background. She served ten years in the military as an aircraft structural repair mechanic. During that time she maintained the structures of the SR-71, TR-1, U2-R, KC & EC-135, T-38, B-1 and the B-52 bomber. After leaving the military she has pursued a career in Business Administration. She loves working with children and is currently a Sunday school teacher, youth Wednesday night bible study teacher and vacation bible school director.
We at Warbird SkyVentures are a hodge podge of individuals but as a crew we have one thing in common... We like airplanes... and especially Vintage Warbirds! We also like to think that we are helping to preserve a bit of aviation history by providing our customers the opportunity to actually fly in our historic airplanes. |
